We are seeking a full time, Circulation Manager responsible for home delivery, mail and single copy for The Richmond County Daily Journal, The Anson Record and The Laurinburg Exchange as well as non-subscriber mail and single copy delivered products. Primary responsibility will be for Richmond and Anson counties with support to Scotland.

The primary role of the Circulation Manager is to achieve company objectives and oversee an independent contractor carrier force. The Circulation Sales Manager will also contribute to growing circulation volumes and revenue by ensuring customer/subscriber service and satisfaction levels are met or exceeded. This position works part of the time in an office and majority of the time within the assigned newspaper distribution area. The Circulation Sales Manager will also work in the community at events, manage kiosk sales opportunities and assist the Regional Publisher in driving new customers through a variety of promotional ideas.

The successful candidate will work flexible hours recruiting, negotiating and maintaining contracts with independent contractors. They will also determine delivery areas, manage dealer relations, collections/returns, deliver open/down routes and monitor contract performance.

This position will ensure that contractors adhere to their contractual obligation for customer service, complaint resolution, reporting, compliance of all local, state and federal laws. Overall responsibility for product position, rack sales effectiveness, point of purchase material application, timely reporting, accounts receivable and adjustments. Manage product integrity, drop times, delivery sequence/schedules, and contingency planning.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A minimum of two years of supervisory, distribution and/or sales experience is required. Experience working with independent contractors is a plus. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The qualified candidate should be able to work under pressure and possess strong-problem solving and organizational skills. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, be mechanically inclined and possess a dependable vehicle with appropriate insurance is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
