Our little ones need you! Wallingford Childcare Center is looking for experienced, caring staff to support our classrooms. Our small classrooms and low ratios allow you the opportunity to really engage with students and parents and enjoy your time in the center!

Join our team and receive a $1500 bonus - $500 paid upon hire and $1000 at 6 months!

Who are we?

Wallingford Child Care Center is a unique family oriented community. We are proud to have low ratios, offer great benefits, and work in a collaborative and supportive community of educators and families. We care for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old.

Our curriculum is based on Resources for Infant Educarers (RIE) philosophy for our infants and waddlers. We support our toddler through Pre-K children's learning through an emergent curriculum that reflects their interests and curiosity with influences from the Reggio Emilia philosophy.

We are proud to offer low ratios, great benefits and a supportive environment for staff. We know that for adults to be full-time care givers they need the same thing that we expect them to give the children - respect, empathy, and kindness.

Who are you?

You are an experienced caregiver looking for a place to grow your practice and enjoy our special community. You enjoy working with other teachers in a variety of age groups to provide the best for all of our children. You appreciate the connection to other staff and families that comes with working in a smaller environment.

What do I need to fulfill this role?

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Fully vaccinated for COVID-19
• Cleared background check
• Pediatric CPR/First Aid
• Food Handler Permit
• 30 Hour Basic Stars training
• Preferred: at least 1 year experience working with young children

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
We have gone above and beyond the COVID-19 requirements for childcare centers. Our center has only had to close one classroom one time for COVID-19 since our reopening in June 2020.

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Childcare: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)
• Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
