Job Description

We are looking for an experienced program manager, strategist, and proactive problem solver who is excited about our mission and driven to have a social impact. The successful candidate will help set the right strategy and process for key initiatives and lead critical cross-functional efforts. The Chief of Staff will streamline activities within the organization based on the prioritization of our executive team, up-leveling when needed and jumping in to move things forward where necessary. We need someone who excels at “getting things done” in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment, and who gets excited about this unique opportunity to contribute to the long-term success of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Define, scope, and manage cross-functional projects across the organization while working with team members at every level.
  • Proactively identify project risks, issues, and open questions, and ensure the team is driving them to resolution.
  • Foster and promote a culture of teamwork, mutual accountability, and active collaboration.
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of business value by identifying problems, analyzing opportunities, collaboratively defining possible solutions, driving solution implementation, and managing the necessary change within and outside the organization.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, including but not limited to program and project management processes, and work with leadership to prioritize and implement them.
  • Own our internal KPI reporting and analysis, including refining what metrics are tracked across departments, ensuring we have up-to-date and accurate numbers, and keeping the team up to date on how we are tracking against our targets.
  • Provide guidance and support to teams working on strategic and operational improvements, helping balance the needs of the business, our customers, and our teams.

Experience

  • 3+ years of professional work experience.
  • Experience in top-tier management consulting and/or a high-growth technology organization strongly preferred.
  • Analytical and strategic mindset with the ability to simplify and communicate complex information quickly in order to drive decision-making.
  • Creative problem solving, including identifying trends and patterns, developing root-cause diagnoses, and using a diverse toolkit to address the root causes.
  • Able to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, quickly coming up to speed and gaining expertise.
  • Experience taking ownership and leading through influence.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong data analysis and Excel skills. Bonus points for SQL and data visualization experience.
  • Undergraduate degree with a focus on data, operations, management, or business preferred. Bonus points for a graduate degree in a similar field.
  • Human service industry experience preferred.

Other Information

  • Location: Remote (option to work from Austin HQ)
  • Salary: The target base salary range for this position is ($110,000 - $120,000) and is part of a competitive total rewards package including an annual bonus, employer-paid benefits, and incentive pay for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
