Chief Estimator

Oversee entire regional Estimating department through process improvement, workload and project assignments, quality management and estimate reviews, departmental staffing and employee performance management. The Chief Estimator will be responsible for strategically planning and implementing department and company initiatives. Estimate the most complex and large-scale jobs, including conceptual estimates, negotiated bids, budgets, general conditions, systems studies and comparisons, value engineering, subcontractor relations and staying up-to-date on industry developments applicable to estimating. Additionally, participate in business development activities, presentations and interviews to secure new work.

Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field with 15+ years of experience in Estimating;
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient in Estimating software (Timberline or similar), Project Management software (Prolog or similar), and Scheduling software (Primavera or similar);
  • Understanding of the influence of market conditions on pricing;
