Position Summary

Under direction of the Quality management, this position is responsible for regulatory reporting, regulatory performance improvement activities, facilitating ‘best practices’ and serving as a resource on quality management activities. This position works collaboratively with multiple departments internally and externally to ensure continuous readiness and compliance with accrediting bodies and regulatory agencies.

Required

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Certified Peer Recovery and Support Specialists or actively enrolled and working toward certification.
    • Lived Experience: A certified peer recovery and support specialist shall be in recovery for at least two years prior to certification. Recovery is characterized by continual growth and improvement in one’s health and wellness that may involve setbacks.
    • Peer Recovery and Support Work Experience: 475 hours of volunteer or paid work experience.
    • Education and Training: Successful completion of one of the two NCB approved, Nevada State sanctioned PRSS 101 foundational training courses is required.
    • Non-Clinical Supervision: 25 hours of supervised experience.
    • Examination: All applicants are required to pass the Peer Recovery Examination.
    • Code of Ethics: The applicant must agree to adhere to the Nevada Certification Board’s peer recovery specific code of ethics.
  • NVCI/CPI Training (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) initial certification within six (6) months of hire.
  • Current unrestricted drivers license and proof of personal auto insurance

Preferred

  • Bachelor degree in related field
  • Experience working within a mental health or substance use treatment setting.
