Responsibilities:

The COTA is responsible for the treatment of referred patients that require rehab services under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist which includes;

• Providing direct patient care for their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations, restrictions and potential for rehabilitation.
• The COTA will administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient's capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Occupational Therapist and the Physician.
• The COTA must document and record the patient's condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate therapy method.
