Responsibilities Include: The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant is responsible for the direct treatment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services which includes: providing direct patient care related to their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation. The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant will administer a treatment program with specific goals as indicated by evaluation and plan of care determined by supervising Occupational Therapist. The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant will document and record the patient's condition, educate patients and caregivers with regards to the plan of care, and regularly convene with the supervising Occupational Therapist to discuss the patient's progress.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Graduated from an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Valid professional license and registration for state of FL
  • Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to
  • Well versed with EMR documentation (we utilize Net Health, the old Rehab Optima)
  • Evaluations, weekly progress notes, recertification and discharge documentations
  • Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care
  • Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
  • Adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times
  • Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation· Compliance with confidentiality & HIPAA

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $34.00 - $39.00 per hour
