East Haven Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is a 200-bed facility servicing the North East Bronx Community. East Haven offers short term rehab, sub-acute care and nursing home care, as well as offering in-house hospice care. CNA’s are responsible for giving routine basic nursing care under the direction the LPN/RN. As a member of the nursing team, the CNA, uses knowledge gained from experience as well as ongoing education/training to meet the changing need of resident care.
You will provide assigned residents with ADL care, in accordance with established nursing care procedures. Requires knowledge of Adult and Geriatric population, including but not limited to consideration of the special needs and behaviors of these groups. Have the responsibility and accountability for carrying out your assigned duties under the direction of the RN/LPN charge nurse.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be currently certified as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing
- Bilingual preferred - Spanish/English
- LTC experience preferred
- EMR experience preferred
- COVID-19 vaccination is mandated unless appropriate medical exemption is provided
