Summary:

The Certified Medication Technician is responsible for ensuring that all community members are provided with the appropriate medications as designed by community members’ physician using the proper technique and within the allotted time frame. Is responsible for adhering to the all established Nursing policies and Company policies. The CMT follows the direction of the DON/Nursing Supervisor during the medication pass and asks questions of the DON/Nursing Supervisor regarding concerns about medications or community members’ condition.

Job Qualifications:
  • Education and Training/Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Recent Assisted Living experience is preferred.
  • Licensing/Registration/Certification:
  • Current certification in the state you will be working as a Nurse Assistant
  • Current certification in the state you will be working as a Medication Technician
  • Insulin Administration Certification may be required.
  • Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent communication skills to interact verbally with community members, visitors, and staff.
  • Ability to manage time and organize daily schedule to meet productivity standards.
