Compensation:

  • $18/hr + benefits for full-time roles (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), UNLIMITED PTO, $5k toward student loan reimbursement)

  • Monday - Thursday, 10:30am - 7:00pm & EOW 10:30am - 7:00pm
  • Friday, 10:30am - 7:00pm & EOW 10:30am - 7:00pm

Responsibilities:

The Certified Medical Assistant monitors patients, ensuring safety and compliance with program protocols. The individual performs critical functions, including monitoring patient vital signs, conducting urine tests, drawing blood, and dispensing patient medications as directed by the Psychiatric Nurse, Medical Director, etc. He/she will work efficiently to attain and maintain the highest level of care in accordance with regulatory standards. He/she will have a vested interested in furthering their knowledge in regard to patient care practices and medical equipment.

  • Availability to answer telephone calls from Facility employees and patients during normal business hours, making reasonable efforts to respond to all such calls within thirty (30) minutes of the initial call.
  • Maintain demonstration of values and mission statement
  • Receive and store all orders from the pharmacy per facility policies
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking and recording patient histories and patient vital signs according to schedule and policy
  • Administer urine tests and draw blood
  • Assist practitioner with medical treatments, procedures, and exams
  • Respond to medical emergencies and assist the nurse as directed
  • Manage inventory of medical supplies and equip exam rooms with appropriate supplies
  • Maintain an understanding medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
  • Coordinate patient meetings, admissions, medical visits and other appointments as necessary
  • Perform all other tasks assigned by supervisor
  • Willing to travel between sites.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years prior experience in a medical assisting or patient care position (preferred)
  • Chemical Dependency Treatment experience (preferred)
  • Personal passion or interest in substance abuse issues (strongly preferred)
  • Must be committed to a drug-free lifestyle and responsible alcohol use
  • Educational Certificate in an accredited medical assistant program
  • Certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Certified in First Aid
