The Office of Small Businesses and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise Services (OSDS) in the Procurement Division of the Department of General Services (DGS) is the place for you! OSDS is looking for an outgoing and personable Certification Program Manager to lead the Small Business and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (SB/DVBE) Certification, Policy/regulations and Compliance team.

As the Certification Program Manager position, you will have the opportunity to:

· Develop policy affecting the state’s Small Business and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (SB/DVBE)

· Develop cooperative relationships with constituent groups in the private, state, city, county, local government entities, Chamber of Commerce, and business associations

· Evaluate the operational effectiveness of SB/DVBE participation goal attainment in state contracting by working closely with other state departments leadership, purchasing program managers and SB/DVBE Advocates

· Make recommendations for improvements to identify barriers, provide training, and develop best practices to ensure program effectiveness and compliance with state legislation and government codes

You will be successful in this position if you have:

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Strong leadership and organizational skills in a hybrid work environment

· Project management skills

· Experience with high-profile communication and interactions

· A passion for working directly with small diverse and disabled-veteran owned business communities

· Knowledge and skills regarding new program/policy development

Please note, the state classification for the Certification Program Manager position is Staff Services Manager II directly managing several Staff Services Manager I and their units. To be considered for this position, you must take the Staff Services Manager II online exam.

Pay: $7,204.00 - $8,950.00 per month
