seeking a CDL Truck Driver- Class A.

Basic Functions:

Position has overall responsibility for transporting goods between two points, using heavy or tractor-trailer/tank trucks. Operates vehicles over 26,001 pounds of gross vehicle weight. These trucks are primarily used for local pickup and delivery of various packages and products. The driver has to be familiar with use of technology, be able to drive long distances and for extended periods of time. The driver will be required to participate in round trip deliveries which may require overnight stays in various states. This can occur 1-2 times per week and

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes, but is not limited to the following:

Deliver goods while operating a tractor-trailer/tank truck

Unloads Pallet Jack

Fully analyze, cross check and confirm accuracy of paperwork with cargo before departure

Gathers necessary tools before departure

Drives long distances for customer delivery and pick up.

Reports to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road.

Monitors road conditions and watch for traffic congestion.

Follows all applicable traffic laws.

Inspects their trailer before and after the trip, and record any defects they find.

Follows accident procedures if an accident occurs.

Keeps a log of their activities.

Reports serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.

Maintains their vehicle and associated equipment, clean and in good working order.

Familiar with the use of technology.

Maintains good working relationships with clients.

Maintain slog of trips.

Obtains signatures upon pickup and delivery

Follow company SOP(Standard operating procedures)

Properly disposes excess material from each job.

Operates a yard truck to shuttle trailers from one building to another on a rotational basis.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or its equivalent
Class A CDL and Tanker Endorsement
Two(2) to three (3) years of Class A Driving experience is a must
Must have excellent safety management, time management, and customer focus

Deadline-oriented and dependable

Must be able to lift 60lbs

Know, understand and abide by DOT regulations.

REQUIRED:

Must pass background check, physical and drug testing.

• Lift various materials weighing up to 50 pounds
• Operate a tractor which pulls either a tank wagon or trailer
• Operate an electric or manual hand jack which pull weight up to 4,000lbs
• Operate a yard tractor
