Class B CDL Driver

Ware-Butler Building Supply is currently looking for an experienced Class B Driver with the capabilities of driving/operating all company vehicles, forklifts, pick up trucks, flat beds, moffit trucks, etc. for its Kingfield location.

The primary responsibility of this position would be to load, deliver and unload building material products.

This position comes with a competitive salary, with the potential to earn up to $60,000 annually, home in the evenings, a generous benefit package, and the opportunity to join a growing and emerging Building Supply Company that is vertically integrated with the largest Sawmill Manufacturer in Maine.

Responsibilities:

• Follow all company policies and safety standards.
• Will need to be able to drive all company Vehicles; forklifts, Pick-up Trucks, Box Trucks, Flat-beds, Moffit Trucks, Boom Trucks, etc.
• Perform vehicle safety inspections.
• Loads and inspects loads to ensure no unsafe vehicle leaves the yard.
• Must be able to pay attention to details when pulling orders.
• Checks load for picking accuracy and corrects errors as needed.
• Unloads product to customer expectation by following written directions and instructions and by verbal communication on the job site.
• Contribute efforts to maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
• Reports damage to equipment, inventory, or property to immediate supervisor the day it occurs.
• Perform tasks deemed necessary by supervisory staff.

Requirements:

• A valid Maine State Driver’s license with a clean driving record for 3 years.
• A Class A or B CDL required.
• Boom truck experience required.
• Forklift experience necessary.
• Ability to respond to hazards while driving.
• Ability to read, apply basic math and act upon written language.
• Ability to repeatedly lift objects up to 80 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and twist repeatedly throughout the workday.

Working Conditions:

This position is performed in an open warehouse and out in the elements. The Driver-Yard Worker will be subjected to high heat, rain, snow and cold.
