Responsibilities:
- Load & unload trucks to cater to aircraft.
- Communicate effectively with team members.
- Communicate with the flight crew, maintain good relations with the customer.
- Work in a safe manner to prevent accidents to self and coworkers.
- Cater to the airlines professionally.
- Ensure flights are catered correctly and on time.
- Comply with all HACCP/GMP and sanitation for proper food handling policies and procedures.
- Comply with Ramp Safety policies and procedures, safety vests must be worn while out on the field.
- Complete other duties as assigned
Physical demands:
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
Work environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to extreme cold/heat (weather), heights and loud noise (earplugs must be worn while on the Ramp).
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma.
- CDL A or B License / endorsment
- Experience working in a Warehouse/Airline catering environment
- The ability to meet requirements necessary to obtain a PANYNJ (Port Authority), Port ID (per TSA regulations and more specifically, 49 CFR §1542.209)
- Must have excellent attention to detail
- Must be able to multi-task
- Must be able to read and write in English
- Reliable - excellent attendance & punctuality
- Schedule flexibility is a must, ability to work 1st or 2nd shifts
- Ability to lift and push heavy objects, racks, etc.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Work safely to prevent accidents to self and coworkers
