Assisted Living Administrator

Ingleside Assisted Living and Ingleside Residential Care Apartments are hiring a full-time Assisted Living Administrator to join our Ingleside Communities team! Ingleside Assisted Living is a 16-unit CBRF and Ingleside Residential Care Apartments is a 24-unit RCAC facility serving elderly clients to learn more about Ingleside’s CBRF and RCAC, visit our website at www.//https/inglesidecommunities.org

The Administrator will be responsible for managing and directing the care and supervision of the facility residents and the well-being of the residents, staff, and facility. The Administrator is responsible for handling all day-to-day facility operations for the CBRF and RCAC.

Qualifications, Training, and Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years working experience in an assisted living or nursing home
  • Training in fire safety, first aid, medication administration along with Diabetic training
  • The basic skills needed to perform the job of an RA (Resident Assistant), Med Tech, Unit Coordinator and Team Leader.
  • Basic knowledge of state and federal regulations as they pertain to assisted living.
  • Be familiar with all facility policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  • Supervision of resident care records daily. Quality assurance of the records and auditing for accuracy.
  • Complete resident observations/events and reviews as required by DHS 83.
  • Maintain the e-mar and obtain/transcribe physician’s orders the staff to follow.
  • Interviewing, hiring, supervising Assisted Living staff.
  • Schedule and complete staff orientation and training.
  • Daily follow-up of duties required on specific shifts for all other staff members to ensure that duties are being completed.
  • Giving direction to other staff members of their duties to ensure all resident care plans are followed in an efficient and timely manner and offering insight of more efficient ways to perform job duties.
  • Establish, coordinate, and follow up on all resident appointments and transportation needs.
  • Coordinate and post monthly employee schedules. Follow-up and ensure all shifts are covered with qualified care staff.
  • The Administrator may be required to fill staff shortages on any shift and must maintain qualified care staff standing including medication administration delegation.
  • Reviews and implements corporate policy guidelines and ensures compliance with state mandated procedures and practices.
  • Maintains a safe and secure working/living environment by monitoring staff, building maintenance and housekeeping.
  • The Administrator will conduct initial employee onboarding before assigning the fresh staff to the facility.
  • Assist HR (Human Resources) with employee evaluations on a 90 day (about 3 months) and annual basis.
  • Enforce safety policies and attend Safety Committee meetings.
  • Serve as a Public Relations liaison by giving facility tours and marketing info to potential resident families or legal guardians.
  • The Administrator will manage resident intake and admission procedures.
  • The Administrator will track resident evaluations and draft resident ISP’s.
  • The Administrator will coordinate and attend all care planning in IDT meetings for residents.
  • Check to ensure staff are following the resident care plan as directed in the ISP’s and put insight into changes that need to be made yearly or as needed. Inform Administrator.
  • Assess and follow-up on any resident, family, and/or staff concerns or complaints, inform the administrator of any issues.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
