Summary/ Objective

Goal of this position is to solicit, sell and contract event space, food and beverage and guest room revenue. To be successful in this position, the candidate must be able to adapt to the changes in the industry and specifically their market to reach and exceed their sales goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

SELLING

  • Solicit new and existing accounts to meet and/or exceed revenue goals
  • Knowledge of competitors, industry and market trends
  • Create and execute strategic action plans for your market to attract and maintain appropriate business to the property and maximize revenue and space
  • Analyze all business opportunities and skillfully manage response to leads
  • Create and execute a cadence with your accounts to ensure ongoing follow up
  • Weekly/Monthly prospecting efforts to include, but not limited to: Outside Sales Calls, Cold Calls, Social Media posting through LinkedIn/Facebook, E-mailing Site Tours, Networking events, Tradeshows, and other additional accountabilities.
  • Professional in manner and appearance as you are an ambassador of the resort
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to have occasional flexibility to work weekends or after hours
  • Accurately hold space and guest rooms and log all pertinent client communication into sales system
  • Ensure accuracy in sales proposals and follow through to ensure full understanding of the clients’ needs
  • Ensure accuracy in the creation and execution of contracts and addendums that are within Turf Valley Resorts guideline’s
  • Follow all Accounting S.O.P.s to ensure PCI compliance and accurate billing information and collections of deposits and payments
  • As necessary, obtain rooming lists
  • Provide legendary customer service to all guests
  • Take ownership of any client issues and work with team to develop a resolution when necessary
  • Answer and return work related phone calls and e-mails in a timely manner
  • Strong interdepartmental communication
  • Proficient in computer skills
  • Seek assistance from Director, when necessary

TEAMWORK RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respect must always be shown to all team members of Turf Valley Resort
  • Address any internal conflicts with a professional manner

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AS NECESSARY

Physical Demands:

  • Sitting for Extended Periods of Time
  • Standing, Lifting and Bending
  • Ability to lift, on occasion, materials maximizing at 30lbs

Education and Work Experience:

  • BA/BS degree or two-year degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of sales experience
  • 3 Years of experience as a Convention Services Manager is acceptable

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
