Responsibilities/Job Description:
Coordinates care and communicates effectively with interdisciplinary team for all aspects of care
We alter treatment within the established care plan to reflect change in patient status and response to treatment
Provides appropriate education to patient and/or caregiver
Documentation/Billing
Uses acceptable medical terminology, and follows professional practice standards
Completes documentation in a timely manner and follows department billing standards
Professional Expectations
Prioritizes tasks and patient care for effective time management
Understands and acquires licensure/certification requirements
Advises team members and/or supervises students as designated
Pursues personal and professional development to support clinical standard processes
Productivity
Meets or exceeds departmental standards for productivity
Quality Improvement
Crafting and implementing improvements.
Participates in and supports entity/system initiatives Qualifications:

In collaboration with patients and families, the OTA is responsible for providing safe and effective delivery of patient care within scope of practice under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist (required if the OTA is billing for services).
Casual COTA with a minimum requirement of 1 weekend per month, additional shifts as needed.- Dynamic inpatient unit serving primarily adults with diagnoses including neuro, complex medical, ortho, etc.
M Health Fairview Rehabilitation offers a broad range of services that serve patients across 10 acute-care hospitals, 3 post-acute settings and 70 outpatient adult and pediatric therapy clinics. Consisting of Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy as well as Audiology and Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehab, our therapists collaborate with colleagues in all medical settings and offer dozens of specialty programs.

Partners with patients and families to provide skilled intervention
Together, we implement plan of care established by supervising occupational therapist. You will connect with supervising occupational therapist regarding (if applicable due to billing requirement) recommendations for revision or update of care plan and/or discharge
