The Manager of Carryout / Grill Line and Plating guides a team of gifted people dedicated to giving our external customers the same level of service they have come to expect as guests in our dining room. Through a combination of attention to detail, seamless execution of duties, and a heavy dose of care for people, they will be a steady presence during the exhilarating times in carryout when every minute counts. They’ll also bring these same skills into the kitchen to make sure that the food our guests receive is of superior quality both in presentation and taste. All this is to ensure that our guests have an experience that keeps them coming back to the Hartville Kitchen time and time again.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Deliver superior service and maximize guest satisfaction.
  • Promote positive team member morale by setting an example through personal work habits, and attitude and adhering to all company policies and procedures.
  • Gives encouragement and proper recognition for performance.
  • Coach team members to maintain a high level of guest service.
  • Schedules the carryout department to ensure adequate staffing is available to accommodate daily business needs. Processes call-offs, vacation, and time off requests of team members.
  • Respond to guest concerns or problems to restore and promote good public relations.
  • Observe and evaluate team members and work procedures to ensure quality standards and service.
  • Monitor food production and time sequences, and workstation and equipment arrangements.
  • Request equipment maintenance as needed and follows up to ensure the equipment is operating properly.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and food safety regulations.
  • Give performance guidance and feedback

Essential Qualifications:


  • High School diploma or equivalent, hospitality management or culinary schooling is a plus
  • 2+ years of work experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
  • Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software and scheduling software.
