What: We are looking for caregivers to help care for clients (mainly fragile, ill, disabled, and/or elderly), one-on-one, in their homes. We hire State Tested Nursing Aides (STNAs), Home Health Aides (HHAs), Medical Assistants (MAs), *OR* anyone else with a heart & desire to care for others, who are willing to learn & become a professional caregiver.

When: Short shift, long shifts, morning shifts, afternoon shifts, part-time hours or full-time hours. We currently have them all!

Where: Clients are located throughout the eastern Eastern Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Northern Portage and Northern Summit Counties. *The majority of our clients live in the Chagrin Valley area (Chagrin Falls, Solon, Twinsburg, Beachwood)

Pay: $15 per hour

Qualifications

• 18 years or age or older
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Caregiving training &/or certifications, such as STNA, HHA, MA, PCA, etc. (preferred but not required)
• Willing to drive to client's homes, up to 30 minutes away
• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting & the ability to work independently
• Good interpersonal skills
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (preferred but not required). We'll train if you're willing to learn!
• Ability and willingness to complete online continuing education training classes (8 hrs of training required per year)
• Willingness to follow and enforce health and safety standards
• Reliability: Professionalism and discipline to arrive to clients' homes, on time, every time

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and hygiene assistance, such as showering, bathing, toileting, incontinence care, grooming, and dressing
• Remind clients to take prescribed medication and assist them with monitoring vitals
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, preventing falls, etc.)
• Plan and prepare meals and/or assist with feeding
• Run errands for the client or accompany them to successfully do so
• Keep the clients engaged in favorite activities and conversation
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Light housekeeping & laundry
