FT based on needs of program 35 hours/week

General Description: The Fall River Café is a training program for individuals with Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities.

General Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in social work, Sociology, or Psychology strongly preferred.

Food service experience and SERV Safe required as part of responsibility

2 years’ experience working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities preferred.

Knowledge of community system serving adults with disabilities

Excellent interpersonal and communication (written/verbal) skills as well as the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community, strong documentation skills.

Ability to assess, monitor, and support program participants and to develop individual treatment goals and plans.

Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports.

Commitment to the principles of participant choice, rights and self-determination

Understanding and implementation of Positive Behavioral Supports

Valid Driver’s License

Ability to pass criminal background checks.

Job Responsibilities and Expectations:

The Café Manager/Team Supervisor reports directly to and receives weekly and/or as needed support and supervision from the Program Director

• Develop and implement Café training program.
• Receive referrals from DDS for program participants and complete intake process.
• Manage the daily responsibilities of implementing Café training program.
• Manage cafe performance, including developing and implementing daily menu, opening and closing café, facilitating communication amongst staff and individuals with disabilities who work in the café.
• Follow all Serve Safe guidelines as applicable for safe food handling.
• Participate in the individuals ISP meetings and team meetings as needed.
• Ensure that all documentation and forms are complete, accurate, and timely.
• Attend meetings with Supervisor as directed.
• Represent The Arc of Bristol County/proAbility in the community and attend appropriate workshops, seminars, and trainings. Represent The Arc of Bristol County/proAbility’s mission and philosophies in a positive and supportive manner within the community and with the individuals and families we support.
• Maintain a positive relationship with the individuals, their families/guardians, as well as other businesses and social service agencies.
• Adhere to Direct Support Professional Code of Ethics
• Ensure all mandatory training and certifications are current.
• Adhere to all agency/program policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.
