As Cafe Manager of Cafe at Montpelier you play an integral role in the day to day operations of the Cafe. A successful Cafe Manager should demonstrate exemplary management and leadership skills. As cafe manager you should be able to achieve excellent customer service.Duties include:
Prepare and serve light lunch fare and hot drinks that meet quality standards.
Ensuring all food in cafe is in fresh condition and kept at a safe temperature.
Properly handle and maintain all equipment.
Keep cafe clean by clearing and cleaning tables, counters and food prep areas during the day and re-stocking as needed.
Respond to orders, questions, concerns and complaints in a polite and efficient manner.
Accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash-handling procedures.
Serve customers quickly and efficiently, with a sense of urgency when needed.
Demonstrate and thorough understanding of all the menu offerings.
Follow food and safety regulations.
Ability to forecast how much product is required and order food and cafe supplies as needed.
Observe relevant health and safety standards.
Work with Visitor Center Managers as a team and the ability to work independently.
Maintain cafe equipment and report and problems to immediate supervisor.
