We are currently seeking a full-time Cable Assembly Technician to work in our Warren, Indiana location.

Summary
The Cable Assembly Technician is responsible for fabricating high-quality cable harnesses and cable assemblies from schematics and wiring diagrams.

Hours: Full-time with seasonal overtime
2nd shift – Monday through Friday 3:30 pm – 11:30 pm (2nd shift differential)

The right candidate will be able and willing to:

• Perform a variety of fabrication processes to include wire marking, soldering, crimping, connector termination, and assembly
• Use sound judgment in reworking or rewiring to meet quality control specifications
• Test and validate products using computer applications and test equipment including multimeters and power supplies
• Monitor inventory levels of wire and cable, components, supplies and communicate with team leader regarding inventory status
• Complete build documentation and work orders
• Other duties as assigned

Core Competencies:

• High school diploma or GED
• Prior experience in wire harness and cabling fabrication is beneficial
• Knowledge of various wire harness tools preferred, including manual and pneumatic tools
• Ability to interpret cable wiring diagrams and schematics
• Strong attention to detail
• Service-oriented, positive attitude
• Ability to adapt to a constantly changing, fast-paced work environment
• Flexibility, good common sense, and an outgoing personality
• Computer experience with Microsoft Office applications
• Requires minimal supervision and works well both individually and as part of a team.

Physical Demands:

• Remain in a seated position 50% of the time; alternate between sitting and standing
• Move about the office to access parts, including high-level shelving, ascending/descending ladders
• Move up to 50 lbs. of equipment
• Operate machinery for intricate cable/parts fabrication
• Exchange accurate information with customers/co-workers/vendors, etc.
