Veronét Vineyards & Winery in Kings Mountain, NC is looking for engaging and professional busser associates. The bussing team is responsible for maintaining a clean and attractive physical setting to reinforce the quality of the brand and ensuring effective, efficient operation of cleaning operations to create an elevated experience for all guests.

The winery is open Friday - Sunday, 12pm-6pm. The busser associate position has standard hours of 10:45am - 6:30pm Saturdays & Sundays, additional hours are available some Fridays, throughout the week for private events, and occasional holiday shifts (Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc.) when the winery opens on Mondays. All applicants must be available to work a standard Saturday & Sunday shift regularly.

*Hourly pay rate $9 per hour plus a portion of pooled tips, equivalent to total average pay of ~$16+ per hour*

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure all tables, patio, and bar areas are consistently bussed to remove dirty glassware and dishes to ensure a clean environment for guests.
• Wipe down all tables and seating throughout the day as tables are turned to ensure cleanliness for new guests.
• Deliver all dirty glassware consistently throughout the day in appropriate racks to kitchen for cleaning.
• Empty trash bins and deliver trash to dumpster throughout the day consistently.
• Swap recycling bins throughout the day consistently.
• Clean and stock bathrooms throughout the day consistently.
• Ensure clean, well-organized, stocked utility closet space.
• Display sound judgment and problem solving when issues arise.
• Communicate clearly, respectfully and in a timely manner with employees and management team.
• Follow all company policies, state and federal laws.

Qualifications:

• One or more years of high volume back-of-house food service experience preferred.
• Must be available to work Saturdays & Sundays consistently.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

Physical/Other Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to bend, squat, climb, push, stoop and crouch repeatedly.

Working Conditions:

• Regular working schedule will include weekends and holidays.
• Long or irregular hours during peak seasons and/or special events, as needed.
• Standing for long periods of time (4-8 hours per day).
• Heavy physical work: moving wine cases, carrying dish racks, carrying trays/bussing bins up and down stairs in outdoor weather, removing 55 gal trash bags, carrying trash bags to trash bins, etc.
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds (case of wine).
