Business Systems Analyst

InnovaSystems has a need for an experienced software business analyst for its Navy Readiness Reporting Enterprise - Navy Readiness Analysis Suite (NRAS) project team.

The successful candidate will work with other business analysts and the enterprise product owner to execute all activities specified in the company's CMMI Level 3 certified software development process. This work requires someone who can communicate and coordinate with stakeholders, subject matter experts, user experience architects, and the product owner to analyze and define the business objectives of the product outlined in the vision statement for the project.

The BSA must possess a strong ability to clearly communicate complex software and related data requirements in writing while closely adhering to required formats. This role will require researching and defining business needs that are captured in user stories and act as a proxy for the users and customers by interfacing directly with developers, subject matter experts, and testers to ensure the functionality is acceptable in fulfilling the identified customer value. You will assist in the development and management of requirements during brainstorming, refining and planning activities. Ideal candidates will possess a strong commitment to learning requirements development best practices aligned with agile software development methodologies and, strong knowledge of the Navy's business domain.

Required skills & experience:

• BS in CS or related discipline and four to six years experience as a Business Analyst, or similar analysis discipline, developing software requirements.
• Effective written and oral communication skills a must
• Experience creating software requirements, such as User Stories or Functional Requirements within an Agile team environment desired
• Experience researching customer concepts, capturing requirements, and analyzing information is a must
• Ability to communicate with customers, stakeholders, and an agile software development team
• Strong organizational, time management, and meeting facilitation skills
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite a must, including Excel
• Working knowledge of MS SharePoint and Azure DevOps
• Strong commitment to learn the Navy readiness production business domain is a must
• Flexibility to support testing activities
• Experience with report writing / dashboard features of Microsoft Power BI or IBM Cognos is a plus.
• General business domain knowledge of U. S. Navy's business practices. In addition, ideal candidate has knowledge of Navy unit readiness reporting or relevant Naval service.
• Possession of a DoD-issued security clearance at the secret-level is a MUST
