Job description
The Business Development Manager is responsible for prospecting, developing, and executing new employer partnerships agreements on behalf of EmployIndy to meet the needs of our high school Modern Apprenticeship Program (MAP). This position will be located at EmployIndy and report to the Senior Business Development Manager, MAP.
- Proactively target, outreach, and prospect new business partners.
- Effectively communicate the value of the MAP program as a talent strategy and EmployIndy as a key strategic partner.
- Successfully secure business commitments and agreements with businesses to grow MAP in Marion County.
- Deliver presentations and lead meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping all colleagues and stakeholders informed of plans, important information, regular reporting, and communicate critical issues.
- Proactively keep our CRM database and other tools, as identified, up to date to document business interactions, communications, and outcomes.
- Facilitate seamless connection of new business partners to internal stakeholders in the onboarding process.
- Meet individual metrics that contribute to the success of team goals.
Education and Experience:
- Post-Secondary credential required; Associates Degree preferred
- 2 years of business development or sales experience
- Experience selling services or intangibles preferred
- Experience in workforce development economic development or related industry preferred
- Progressive work history with increasing levels of accomplishment required
