About This Role:
This position is very fast paced and demanding; requires strong organizational skills, strong communication skills and time management skills to be able to keep up with deadlines and expectations. Duties include but not limited to:


  • Determining eligibility of program applicants
  • Preparing reports on various Housing Programs and facilitating programs
  • Working with local realtors and lending institutions to explain housing program requirements
  • Performing Home Inspections for Individual Programs
  • Researching land records, tax assessments and court documents to verify ownership of property and any additional financial encumbrances
  • Assisting potential first-time homebuyers through their application process
  • Assisting potential owner-occupied homeowners who apply for rehabilitation through their application process
  • Case Management skills working with homeless population
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or G.E.D. and 4 years of related experience in federal and state housing programs and their regulations.

PREFERENCES:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, Urban Planning or related field;
  • Experience administering federal funding through Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Funds;
  • Knowledge of administering downpayment and closing costs assistance program for first-time homebuyers, understanding of residential rehabilitation program and case management skills with homeless population;
  • Experience with housing finance, housing rehabilitation, real estate and property management.
  • Experience with federal, state and local laws, codes and regulations such as Landlord Tenant and Fair Housing Act as they relate to housing programs;
  • EPA Lead Renovator Certification;
  • Licensed Realtor and/or Property Management.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm with flexibility required to meet the demands of the job.

Special Requirements:
Must pass DMV record check;
Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Starting Salary Range:
$58,634 - $87,812
