What you do:
Liaison with key Business Stakeholders and IT in the analysis and delivery of enhancements, projects and products. Executes, with advanced ability, assessing and documenting business risks, creating business cases, identifying impacted stakeholders, creating As Is/To Be process flows, facilitating and documenting gap analysis, and facilitating Requirement sessions. Responsible, with expert ability, of multiple business requirement elicitation methods, assessing business impacts, writing concise, and accurate business requirements/user stories, business requirement traceability to technical requirements, planning/coordination/leading execution of business user testing, production validation, training/SOP support, and project transition planning. Provide mentorship and guidance to other business analysts. Must have expert knowledge level in one Allianz business line with intermediate understanding of the other business lines.

Immediate Project Need:
Allianz Life is updating its underlying B2B technology so distributors and fintech partners who do business with us see increased quality, data accuracy, and delivery speed. This project involves creating new outbound file layouts for variable annuity reporting and transactions. The BA will work closely with both business users to understand in-scope transactions and data elements involved, and with development and testing teams to communicate business needs with clear requirements and data needs, and with process flows to show As Is and To Be processes. The outcome is to establish a foundation to consistently build quality data feeds for external distribution and fintech partners so they can digitally consume product, policy and finpro information.

Responsibilities include:
  • Work on both Agile and Waterfall projects
  • Lead the building of business cases outlining scope and identifying stakeholders; facilitate and document As Is, To Be and Gap Analysis of business processes
  • Elicit, analyze and document clear, concise, detailed business requirements/user stories and ensure technical requirements & design meet and support the business needs
  • Plan, coordinate, and lead user acceptance testing for Waterfall projects and oversee business acceptance testing for Agile projects to validate the solution delivered meets the business needs
  • Lead and coordinate the business readiness plans for code release, including communication, training and production validation with business subject matter experts
  • Mentor and guide other business analysts and conduct peer reviews of business requirements

What you bring:
  • Higher than average technical aptitude; technical skills and experience needed, at a minimum: DTCC/DST, data mapping, data dictionary, file layouts, familiarity with Azure Microsoft platforms
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to create an inclusive environment with people at all levels of an organization
  • 6-7 years' experience required: Business Analysis in Financial Services and/or Insurance Industry; demonstrated accomplishments in implementing projects and other initiatives
  • 8-10 years' experience preferred: Solid knowledge encompassing multiple areas in Allianz Operations
  • Four-year degree required or equivalent
  • Licensing/Certification/Other: Agile certification desired (Product Owner, Scrum Master, Scrum, SAFe); CCBA or equivalent experience, CBAP preferred.
