JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under general supervision, maintains general control over the permitting process in accordance with the City Code and ordinances for the City of Pinellas Park or contract work with Kenneth City and provides inspection services.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must obtain provisional state certification for Building Plans Examiner and Building Inspector within three (3) months from date of hire.
• Must obtain standard state certification for Building Plans Examiner and Building Inspector prior to expiration of provisional certifications.
• Must have five (5) years experience in the construction industry.
• Requires a valid Florida driver license.
• Requires travel throughout the City (approximately 70% of the time) and work within an office environment (approximately 30% of the time).
