We are now hiring Bear Builders/Arcade Attendants at our Bonkers Columbia/Build A Bear location. Build A Bear is a new partnership that is returning to Columbia based inside our Bonkers location.

Our attendants are responsible for delivering best in class service to our guests by:

  • Greeting, Smiling & Attentive to our guests and anticipating their needs or wants, inlcuding Invites to potential Guests to come in and learn about our store
  • Uses the Make Behaviors and Experience First® station standards to provide a personalized, enjoyable and memorable experience for Guests of all ages
  • Engages Guests in conversation through open-ended questions and assesses reason for visit. Utilizes this information to help Guests find the perfect product and convert those “just looking” into a sale
  • Explains the Build-A-Bear Workshop process and assists Guests in choosing, stuffing, dressing, naming, and taking home (purchasing) a new furry friend
  • Contributes to total store results by recommending items to maximize sales and enhance the Guest’s experience
  • Insures Guests are aware that we offer parties for all ages and all occasions
  • Supports our company party commitments by delivering a great party experience
  • Clean and maintain our amazing games selections to ensure guest safety
  • Demonstrate use of games or merchandise
  • Resolve guest complaints timely in a professional manner
  • Load games with tickets and instant win merchandise
  • May assist in moving games
  • Keep work area clean and orderly
  • Assists guest with their menu selections
  • Responsible for accuracy in cash handling
  • Possess the ability to understand and perform all necessary P.O.S terminal operation functions to ensure orders are processed correctly.
  • Keeps a meticulously clean counter, floor and surrounding work area
  • Adhere to safety procedure
  • Other duties as assigned by management

No direct experience is required, but previous experience in customer service or other related fields will be given strong consideration.

Since this is a family entertainment center, our busiest times are when school is out, nights, weekends and holiday availability is a must.

QUALIFICATIONS

· High School Diploma or Equivalent required. This is an entry level position.
