Breakfast Attendant

The breakfast attendant monitors and tends to the breakfast buffet, ensuring an attractive presentation of the food, keeps the buffet line and kitchen area clean, and interacts with the guests. This position will require that you work weekends and you must have reliable transportation as the shift begins at 530 am.

Primary Responsibilities:

Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction. Sets up the buffet before guests begin arriving for breakfast. Displays the food and beverages in an organized and attractive manner. Cleans area of and around buffet by wiping, sweeping and/or mopping. Clean off tables as guests depart, prior to the arrival of the next guest. Clears, washes, and keeps stocked plates, cups, bowls, utensils and napkins for guests to use. Prepares coffee and/or tea by established standards. Keeps juices and other perishables such as butter and yogurt stocked and chilled or on ice. Frequently checks for low food supply. Efficiently replenishes with food, beverages, and/or supplies as needed during breakfast hours. Maintains cleanliness of buffet area throughout the morning by reorganizing and tidying food area as necessary. . Removes and disposes of leftover food at end of breakfast shift. Cleans buffet area according to established standards. Ensures inventory is stocked and properly stored for the next day’s shift.May keep daily or weekly records of foods used and consumed. Inventories breakfast items regularly and orders or purchases items as necessary and as directed. Properly stores foods in designated areas following wrapping, dating, and rotation procedures. Ensures all temperature logs and waste logs are maintained daily. Receives, dates and examines food and supplies to ensure quality meets established standards and specifications. Stocks and cleans kitchen at end of shift according to cleanliness standards. Displays a professional image at all times through appearance and dress. Follows company policies and procedures.

Working conditions: Will be required to work weekends and holidays. Will be required to work in fast paced environment. Will be required to work with common household cleaning products.
