JOB DESCRIPTION

AVH is looking for a service professional who can assist the financial department to keep track of the money earned and spend. Will be in charge of preparing accounts, documenting daily financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards. Needs to be someone consistent, accurate, and capable of minimizing errors. It is indispensable to have a knowledge of accounting and to understand how to use accounting software systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions
  • Update and maintain the general ledger
  • Reconciliation of entries into the accounting system
  • Recording of debits and credits
  • Maintain the trial balance, by a reconciliation of general ledgers
  • Account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions
  • Use knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirements
  • Monitor any variances from the projected budget

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3-5 years relevant experience working in accounting and bookkeeping
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of GAAP
  • Proficient skills in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
