Bower's Trucking and Logistics Ponca City location is looking for an onsite billing specialist.

ROLE


The Billing Specialist is responsible for sending invoices to clients and monitoring outstanding balances to ensure each account is paid on time and in full. This position assists the organization by tracking how much is owed and by whom, managing numerous client accounts at the same time. Regular tasks include accurately handling incoming payments and outgoing invoices, updating internal billing databases, and communicating with clients by phone and email.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This position is responsible for the following functions:

  • Send invoices and account updates to clients
  • Maintain accurate record of client accounts and outstanding balances
  • Receive, sort, and track incoming payments
  • Validate debit accounts to ensure the credibility of payment
  • Issue receipts for received payments
  • Address and solve client questions and issues related to billing and payments
  • Securely handle private client data and payment information
  • Various other responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Understanding of basic invoicing and billing practices, knowledge of reporting processes, working knowledge of payment processing
  • EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 6 months + in billing or invoicing role

SKILLS/ABILITIES: Attention to detail, multi-tasking, self-motivation, organization, time management, excellent computer literacy, report compilation, data entry and initiative

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION

TALKING: Ability to speak effectively and communicate clearly

AVERAGE HEARING: Ability to hear average conversations at a standard level in office environments around other customers and company personnel

REPETITIVE MOTION: The employee is regularly required to type throughout the day

FINGER DEXTERITY: The employee is regularly required to use hands to type and maneuver a mouse and keyboard

AVERAGE VISION: Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus with 20/20 vision (with or without the assistance of eye glasses/contacts)

PHYSICAL STRENGTH: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds (unassisted) as well as stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat, and walk for long periods of time

WORKING CONDITIONS
General indoor office environment working conditions. Climate Control. General office hours, with additional work outside of normal office hours as needed to ensure responsibilities are completed.

MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to deal with a variety of variables under only limited standardization.

MATHEMATICS ABILITY: Strong numeric capabilities; Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and common fractions.

LANGUAGE ABILITY: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to communicate clearly
