What does a successful Finance Shared Services Financial Billing Analyst do?
The Financial Billing Analyst significantly contributes to the revenue cycle through collaboration and attention to detail. The analyst plays a key role in ensuring timely and accurate client billing for a line of business at Fiserv. We seek an energetic, engaging, and insightful professional who will actively participate in the monthly billing of Fiserv clients; working to deliver accurate and timely invoices. The Analyst must analyze / interpret contract language to accurately reflect terms for client billing, and have the aptitude to expand technical skills.
What you will do:
- Operates as an internal subject matter expert and resource to others both within and outside the immediate work group for assigned Fiserv billing functions.
- Manage new client billing set up as well as client renewals.
- Review and analyze client contracts for proper billing; work cross-functionally to ensure client is billed as expected.
- Perform invoice analysis and variance research.
- Research and resolve client inquiries and issues.
- Interacting with the client and other internal stakeholders on all questions concerning invoicing and problem resolution.
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field.
- +1 year experience in Accounting, Billing Bookkeeping, Finance, Treasury, Banking, or Data Analytics.
- Intermediate capabilities with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Windows applications.
What would be great to have:
- Prior experience with large ERPs such as SAP, Oracle or Peoplesoft is a plus.
- Ability to act as a liaison with Clients and other departments, divisions, and organizations.
- Ability to use strong analytic skills to solve problems and make decisions based on limited precedents or guidelines.
- Aptitude with Accounting/Bookkeeping.
- Ability to conceptualize innovative approaches to modernize processes.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data.
