A healthcare facility in the Bronx is actively seeking a self-motivated and patient-oriented Registered Nurse, who is bilingual in English and Spanish, to join their staff in a Psychiatric / Mental Health-focused role. In this role, the Psychiatric / Mental Health Nurse (RN) will collaborate with psychiatric providers and associates to provide quality mental health care to patients.
Responsibilities
The Psychiatric / Mental Health Nurse (RN):
- Completes assessments of patients and designs care plans
- Administers vaccines and medications
- Collaborates with MA's in preparing patients and assists Providers during visits
- Provides health education to patients
- Provides clinical guidance to Medical Assistants and Phlebotomist Technicians
Qualifications
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license
- Bilingual, English and Spanish
- Some level of Psychiatric knowledge
- Medication management experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Proficiency with computer platforms and applications
- Comfortable working with the psychiatric mental health population
