Our growing team requires bilingual (English/Spanish) dispatchers with fleet experience to support our drivers.

Bilingual fleet dispatchers on our team typically work 50 hours a week (10 hours of overtime). Dispatcher candidates with prior fleet experience will be given top consideration.

Position Summary:

To build and dispatch a daily load board to ensure prompt and timely delivery of customer orders while promoting the company’s commitment to safety and DOT Compliance.

Bilingual Dispatcher Principal Responsibilities:

  • Requires a person with strong attention to detail, able to multitask and work in a fast-paced and fun work environment.
  • Strong communication skills including face-to-face, phone, text, and email.
  • Key work focus is to help achieve terminal revenue goals by managing payloads and driver productivity by dispatching (directing) company assets (drivers/trucks/trailers) per the daily planning model to achieve customer delivery requirements.
  • Strong teamwork skills working daily in reviewing and updating driver paperwork, order confirmations, customer reports, answering phones, monitoring driver Electronic Logging Devices (ELD), Hours of Service (HOS), routing, and load tracking.
  • Strong computer skills will be trained in company dispatch software programs. Requires basic skills including Microsoft Office. Prior Enterprise Software a plus.
  • Communicate information in either English of Spanish to drivers in a friendly/professional/effective manner making sure information is properly understood.
  • Follow up using ELD/GPS methods to verify delivery is on track to meet customer requirements, confirm drivers are in compliance with DOT guidelines and HOS.
  • Elevate issues and concerns to management team in real time to eliminate inefficient/unproductive roadblocks.
  • Daily interface with shop staff on planned and unplanned maintenance issues related to tractor-trailer repairs.
  • Continuous improvement for efficiencies within work scope.
  • Must be able to work a specific assigned work shift 40-50 hours per week. Flexibility to support dispatch coverage inclusive of weekends/holidays. Participate in after hours on call duties. Reliable transportation/daycare that does not impede work schedule and attendance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). College degree preferred.
  • 1 year or more related work experience in a fleet environment.
  • Past dispatch experience in a DOT /CMV position with basic knowledge and understanding of Interstate DOT safety regulations, including Hours of Service and Electronic Logs as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. (49 CFR 395)
  • English/Spanish bilingual is a plus
