The Beverage & Hospitality Manager is responsible fpr creative development of beverage programs for multiple bar locations. The Beverage and Hospitality Manager oversees the entire beverage program from planning, implementation and successful execution for each location. They will also direct and oversee all bar operations including maintaining adequate staffing, managing teams, ensuring product and service standards are met and implementing and maintaining procedures for maximum operating efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Sets objectives and targets for each bar location.
  • Identifies staffing needs, recruits, hires, trains and manages team members.
  • Creates training manuals and trains and directs team members on quality measures and service standards and maintain required documentation.
  • Ensures team operates within company policies and liquor license laws and standards.
  • Oversees the preparation and presentation of beverages to meet set standards.
  • Resolves customer complaints promptly.
  • Maintains a clean, orderly and sanitary bar in accordance with fire, health, safety and hygiene standards and regulations.
  • Oversees accurate cash-up procedures and ensure necessary paperwork is completed ensuring adherence to cash management procedures.
  • Implements and assures stock control procedures.
  • Is a liaison with suppliers and sales representatives and procures supplies. Assures all deliveries are checked in correctly and documentation is correct.
  • Designs and oversees the bar display to maximize functionality and attractiveness.
  • Sets, monitors and controls the budget for each bar location. Plans and implements cost control measures and implements systems to maximize sales and revenue.
  • Organizes and executes promotional activities.
  • Remains current with relevant legislation regarding service of alcohol and licensing.
  • Works directly with Team Leader and design and construction companies on designing functional wine bars/full bars for upcoming locations within Continuing Care Communities and restaurants.
  • Develops creative bar menus reflective of the clientele of each location.
  • Works with Chefs to plan and execute wine pairings for menus and special dinners and events.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • 5 years’ bar experience
  • Proven experience and knowledge of wine, beer and spirits
  • Strong experience in business skills, communication skills and customer service.
  • Proven ability to provide strong leadership is required

Hours:

  • 40 hrs/week (Salaried)

Schedule:

  • Varies with possible evenings,and weekends

Wage:

  • From $34.00/hr + based on experience
