The global Human Resource (HR) Function provides an integrated talent management system that delivers a workforce that is Corning's competitive differentiator in the global marketplace.

HR provides service offerings that align solutions to business challenges by ensuring the programs are Effective, Efficient, Global, Scaleable, and Repeatable. Corning’s Values are operationalized by the HR Function through the facilitation of Talent Management offerings, as well as programs and processes that aid in making Corning’s Values visible.

Purpose of the Position:

This position will provide HRIS and payroll subject matter expertise for Corning’s Benefits processes and vendor management. This position will work closely with all benefit managers to review data sources, identify and prevent employee and retiree issue related to the data and participate on projects as the data lead for benefits.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Manages True Blue HRIS data font end error reports
  • Manage Leave HRIS data review and audit
  • Payroll testing inbound and outbound vendor files, including Kronos weekly files
  • GS and PIP payroll audit reconciliation and testing
  • Annual enrollment – rates, cobra, site testing, payroll testing
  • Total Rewards – design, testing and file specification review
  • HRIS- root cause analysis and testing of production issues with files
  • Work cross functionally to develop process improvement
  • Benefits subject matter expert
  • Other job duties as required

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience working on cross functional teams

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word etc.). Advanced Excel skills preferred
  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years of strong analytical skills working with large data sets and have an affinity for rigor; able to distill data to a key insight
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
  • Benefits administration knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
  • Project management, including strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work within matrixed team structure across multiple functions and cultures
  • Independent self-starter, taking initiative to resolve issues and find opportunities for improvements

Travel Requirements:
