This is a casual, grant funded position which is subject to renewal by: 6/30/2025

JOB SUMMARY:
Behavior Specialist-Autism has a BCBA or similar certification and performs a variety of professional work in behavioral and parent training, including behavioral intervention of children with autism or children with behavioral concerns, assessment of children's needs using appropriate psychometric assessment tools, and consultation with colleagues, pediatricians, and community organizations. Serves as a liaison with community referral sources including physicians- offices and/or other treatment professionals to facilitate clinical and treatment options. Provides educational information to patients, parents and families, and community agencies regarding treatment modalities. Leads social skills and parent groups. Provides marketing and administrative support to program by producing flyers, handouts and training materials, and entering case-related documentation into computer. Assists in program development. Participates in supervision of BA/MA-level providers in use of behavioral techniques. Maintains case files per hospital standards. Able to bill private insurances for treatment services provided when applicable.
MINIMUM QUALIFIFCATIONS:
Master's Degree
3 years of experience
Board Cert Behavioral Analysts
Current BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA
Three years of experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders and their families, including parent training
Experience facilitating social interaction in children with autism in group settings
Demonstrated competency in varied treatment modalities for children with autism spectrum disorders
Coursework or experience in using behavior modification and positive behavioral programming
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
5 years of experience
A thorough knowledge of developmental disabilities, applied behavior analysis, developmental psychology, psychological testing, and behavioral assessment
Bilingual English/Spanish

The expected hiring range for this position is $41.49 to $57.05
