We are accepting applications to fill the Behavioral Health Therapist school-based position in Grant, MI. Applicants must have experience providing evidence-based therapy and have experience counseling with adults and school-age youth. Working in an Integrated Care Model is preferred. Excellent organizational and communication skills; and the ability to utilize an Electronic Medical Record are a must.


This is a great opportunity to work as a behavioral health therapist in a school-based, primary care office setting. As a therapist for Family Health Care, you will have nights and weekends off and will not be required to be on-call. Our therapists can also opt to work remotely through telehealth or see clients in the office. The Family Health Care offers behavioral health services at each of the Patient-Centered Medical Homes (McBain, Cadillac, Baldwin, Big Rapids, White Cloud, Grant). We also offer behavioral health services in school-based locations (Baldwin and the Newaygo County school districts).


Essential Job Functions:

  • Ability to be flexible, maintaining a rotating schedule between school-based setting and outpatient care setting.
  • Outpatient therapy, Brief interventions and consultations, assessments, and follow-up services
  • Comply with mandatory reporting requirements.
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and setting
  • Documentation in Electronic Health Records
  • Engaging with families, parents, school personnel, and the community

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree and Full licensure in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling. LMSW preferred.
  • Certification in Alcohol and Drug Counseling is preferred.
  • 3 + years experience providing evidence-based therapy in the Behavioral Health field with Substance Abuse and Mental Health related issues.
