Job Summary and Qualifications

The House Supervisor is responsible for coordination and supervision of hospital and patient care services. You will participate in nursing and hospital activities to achieve department and organization goals. What you will do in this role:

  • You will ensure effective, flexible utilization of staff within staffing guidelines, taking into consideration the staff’s competency and patient acuity.
  • You will provide leadership for clinical excellence, personnel and resource management, fiscal accountability and maintenance of positive working relationship with all internal and external customers.
  • You will make decisions, authorize, and act in the absence of the department management and /or hospital administration.
  • You will evaluate staff performance and work-related behavior per policies, obtaining information from appropriate personnel utilizing effective coaching to enhance the performance of the employee.
  • You will model leadership behavior, set expectations for teamwork and hold staff accountable for performance.
  • You will demonstrate effectiveness in planning for future needs by strategic planning, compliance and quality improvement, fiscal and inventory management, productivity management, patient satisfaction and community and physician relations.
  • You will participate in the organization’s educational programs and support the community outreach program, while maintaining advanced practice study.


Minimum Requirements:



  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate’s Degree in Nursing or higher is required
  • Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license
  • A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required
  • A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Health Care Provider is required

  • 2+ years of supervisory/leadership experience is preferred

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).

Live Oak Mental Health and Wellness Center, is a part of Trident Health. We give inpatient stabilization treatment to patients who seek treatment for acute psychiatric symptoms which cannot be addressed on an outpatient basis. Common disorders of patients treated in this program include but are not limited to: major depressive disorder, schizoaffective disorder, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, adjustment disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, impulse control disorder and a variety of co-morbid personality disorders. Our patient population is both adult and adolescent. We offer 24 hour availability of a full range of services. We have the capability to institute rapid lifesaving interventions. Our physician availability is 24 hours a day to institute needed modification to the treatment plan. Psychiatrist involved in the direction and management of the treatment program. Round the clock skilled nursing care implementing the treatment plan and providing monitoring and assessment of the patient’s condition and response to treatment
