This position is on the embedded software development Electric Vehicle (EV) team responsible for the implementation of the High voltage Battery Monitoring System. You will have responsibility for implementing and validating vehicle controls software. This position requires a self-motivated individual with a strong embedded systems background and knowledge in hardware and firmware development.


The minimum requirements we seek

  • Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science or related field
  • 3+ years of experience with Matlab/Simulink/State flow development
  • 3+ years of experience with Microcontrollers and low-level drivers
  • 3+ years of experience with Control System software design (internship/co-op/coursework experience allowed)
  • 3+ years of experience with C and/or C++

Our preferred requirements

  • Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
  • Able to function and learn in cross-discipline between Software Implementation and Controls Design
  • Good understanding in Bootloader, OS Scheduling, Memory management, Watch dog, SPI comm and HW configuration
  • Knowledge of CAN and Diagnostics stack configuration
  • Knowledge of Autosar architecture and implementation
  • Understanding of Functional safety and cyber security implementation
  • Knowledge of hybrid/electric vehicle configurations and controls
  • Understanding of operation and power electronic controls of (BMS) Battery Monitoring System, DCDC, Charger and Motor Inverter
  • Excellent teamwork, written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks

What you will be able to do

  • Implement requirements using MATLAB/Simulink/State flow and C programming
  • Software development for microcontrollers (Such as NXP and Infineon etc.) in automotive ECU
  • Develop and maintain Software architecture, memory map etc. in automotive ECU
  • Support development of Low-level driver and integration to Application software
  • Interact with Hardware team to develop interface requirements for software
  • Validate model-based designs using desktop simulation packages (MIL & SIL)
  • Develop and maintain design and interface documentation
  • Support tools development, compiler setup, static analysis and software configuration management
  • Manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
