Our team is looking for a dynamic, relationship focused Battery & Electrical Technical Support Specialist to help us scale with our customer’s needs.

This full-time position with health care, retirement, and other benefits can be performed 100% remotely.

In a pioneering partnership with a leading research university we built our own patented lithium production process. We’ve put our know-how into building a better battery, we brought it to market, a movement has been built, and our customers need your help in using our products to make their lives better. 100% of your time would support Dakota Lithium technical support and customer service efforts.

The Team:

You would report directly to the Support & Product Development Manager and would be part of a quickly growing team. As a position that works 100% remotely this position requires someone who takes

initiative, can prioritize, and gets things done. A bias towards action, go-get-it-done-ness, and move fast while nailing the details that matter is required.

Who You Are:

• You love working directly with people and helping them solve problems. This is probably the most important quality to possess.
• Comfortable communicating via phone, email, and social media with customers for a large portion of your day (100% of the workload is virtual, computer based via phone & email).
• You have quality customer service experience. Ideally in customer facing roles talking about electricity or electronics. Experience with batteries or DC electrical systems is a big plus.
• You have a passion for renewable energy and have experience with off grid electrical systems or solar power, OR you have the interest and foundational skills in electricity and electronics to learn and gain expertise in the technology.
• A working knowledge of DC (direct current) electrical circuits.
• A basic understanding of how batteries function in a DC circuit.
• Some understanding of basic electrical theory.
• The curiosity and critical thinking skills to learn and solve problems on your own and to ask for help effectively.
• Good time management. You naturally keep a running log of your daily accomplishments, and enjoy getting things checked off of your to-do list.
• Solid people skills. You understand that we are all learning, including our customers, and you’re able to be patient and understanding as you help a customer feel heard & solve their problem.
• Enjoy helping other team mates and being part of a close knit team.

• You have some experience with e-commerce platforms like WooCommerce, Ordoro, Shopify, etc and are willing to spin-up on our e-commerce platforms.
• You have a sense of humor.

Your Job Duties:

• Provide inbound phone, email, and social media support to customers experiencing issues with our batteries and off the grid power systems or those who have general inquiries.
• Outbound follow-up regarding complaints or service issues that our customers may have post- purchase. You will have your own inbox of tickets. You will help other teammates who might not have the same electrical knowledge that you do.
• Learn, train, grow and teach others. You will develop an expertise in electrical systems and progress to become a trainer, mentor or team leader for new staff.

Compensation, Hours, & Benefits:

● Starting pay: $17 - 21 / hr with potential for annual growth plus $300 - $1,200 / month sales growth bonus.

● 100% employer paid Gold level healthcare plan from Premera Blue Cross. Includes free

● 35-40 hours per week. 8 hours a day, 5 days a week with flexibility.

• $2 / hr bonus for hours worked on the weekend (not mandatory, but customers want help on the weekends, so we pay a weekend bonus).
• 1-hour total of paid break time per day, no need to clock out mid-day.

● 120 yearly Paid Time Off (PTO) hours, equal to just over 3 weeks off.

• 3 years employment: 160 yearly PTO hours. 5 years employment: 200 yearly PTO hours.

● Product test samples of new Dakota Lithium products for free.

● Employees are eligible for a free Hilltopper Electric Bike Kit of their choice after 3 months of

employment or $1,000 towards a new Hilltopper electric bike.

● Employees have access to our Friends & Family discount program, which provides a limited number of 50% discounts on all Hilltopper E-Bikes & Dakota Lithium products.

● Eligible for monthly sales bonus program after 3 months employment (this is like a profit-sharing bonus, but bigger since it’s based on revenue growth).
