About Le Marché Cezanne

Besides the painter Paul Cezanne that brilliantly displayed a way of life and nature in French Provence in the late 1800, Cezanne is the inspiration for a period when people were eating local and natural produce, meat or fish from their gardens, local farms, or fishermen. With this philosophy in mind our mission is to use our small footprint to serve the Potrero community and beyond by offering local & organic food to promote a healthier lifestyle; donating food to nonprofits within two miles of our store to avoid waste; offering discounts to shoppers who bring their own bags or coffee cup to protect our planet, and sourcing from local growers and makers to support our local economy.

About the position

As a Barista, you are responsible for serving coffee, espresso drinks, and breakfast items to the community.
You are also responsible for providing excellent customer service by having a positive attitude and team mentality. Ritual training will be provided.

The position is available for 2 to 3 days of work a week.

Your responsibilities

• Taking care of the customers at the cash register.
• Maintain a positive and friendly attitude.
• Preparing and closing the coffee shop.
• Serving coffee and espresso drinks.

Competencies

• Excellent customer service.
• Strong communicator.
• Positive & friendly attitude.
• Ability to safely prepare and serve food of high quality.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to spend 6-8 hours per day on your feet.

Qualifications

• Previous retail and food service experience is a plus.
• Experience as a barista.
• More than experiences, we are looking for someone that is willing to grow and have leadership in a company.

Pay Range & Benefits

• $18-20/hour + tips.
