Job description

Attends to the detail and presentation of each order. Places and expedites orders. Prepares ingredients by following recipes; slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing ingredients; adding seasonings; verifying taste, and plating meals.

Braising and grilling meat and vegetables. Checking that ingredients remain fresh and safe for consumption. Preventing cross-contamination.

Must be able to remain calm and focused at all times and have a hands-on approach. The ideal person will be able to work well under pressure and enjoy being part of a fun and friendly kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook on a charcoal BBQ.
• Help pack food for taking away/delivery service.
• With guidance, follow recipes and presentation specifications
• Receive and organize deliveries.
• Assist in setting up and closing down the restaurant/kitchen areas ready for service or the next day.
• Learn to operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Portion control and stock rotation knowledge.

Salary: £9.50-£10.50 per hour
