Position summary: The Highlawn is looking for motivated, personable Bartenders to join our team at one of New Jersey’s most celebrated restaurants/steakhouses. Bartenders are responsible for promoting and ensuring guest satisfaction, maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment and guaranteeing only the highest quality products are being served.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Attending to customers upon entrance to the restaurant
• Presenting menus, serving and helping customers select food/beverages
• Mixing, garnishing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to company specifications
• Taking orders and making guests feel taken care of during their time at the restaurant or event.
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience

Qualifications:

• Must have catering experience
• Passion for food, beverage, and hospitality
• Must have strong customer service skills
• Ability to communicate with members of the kitchen and dining room teams
• Desire to learn and grow
• Commitment to excellence
• Positive attitude
• Ability to work well within a large team
• Excellent personal presentation
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Pay Type: $25-28 per hour
