Job description
Bankruptcy Specialist II services all functions of active bankruptcy loans from filing to completion.
This position communicates directly with the customer, various departments, and external parties such as attorneys and trustees to ensure compliance of Federal Bankruptcy Laws
- Service the needs of customers who have filed for Bankruptcy by answering questions, taking payments, working with debtor attorneys and trustees, and completing follow-up on accounts in bankruptcy status.
- Bankruptcy representatives perform administrative tasks such as preparing and filing legal documents, handling bankruptcy correspondence and communicating with bankruptcy courts, trustees, and attorneys
- Additionally, the bankruptcy representative is responsible for handling inbound calls, taking payments, and answering questions to ensure quality customer service for both internal and external customers
- Work directly with outside counsel on Litigation, Repossession, and Motion for Relief requests
- Bankruptcy Specialist I responsibilities
- Light skip tracing and repossession also required.
Education (Required/Preferred):
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience (Required/Preferred):
3-4 years Auto Finance Experience in Bankruptcy Department
Qualifications:
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: 2-4 years of Auto Finance Experience in the Bankruptcy Department
- Preferred: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Preferred.
- All bankruptcy specialists need to learn the U.S. Bankruptcy code
- Candidates should have strong writing, speaking, and negotiating skills
- A sense of urgency is also required to meet certain deadlines
Computer Skills:
- Preferred: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
