Empire Ford of New Bedford has an opening for a Service Department Porter/Valet. Applicant must be energetic, hard working, reliable, and enjoy interacting with customers and employees. This is a great opportunity to break into the dealership environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Checking in customer vehicles when they arrive for service
- Parking vehicles in designated areas
- Retrieving customer vehicles after service is completed
- Keeping up the shop appearance
- Assisting with various tasks around the dealership

This is a full time, entry level position with the potential for developing long term career. You will be assisting with vehicle flow within dealership as service tickets are generated and interact daily with the Service Manager, Asst. Service Manager, Service Advisors, support staff and customers.
We are looking for someone who is organized and ambitious, a self-starter, team player, energetic, punctual, hardworking and professional. This is a fast-paced position in a busy service environment.
Skills & Requirements:
- Valid driver's license, with good driving record.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
- Must be at least 21 years old
Environmental & Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to feel and handle, reach with arms and hands, talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may incidentally be required to stoop, kneel and crouch, lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 40 pounds
The goal of an Automotive Porter/Service Valet is to ensure that our customers are 100% happy with their service experience. You will also be shuttling vehicles and customers on/off premises when needed, assist with snow removal when needed, performs tasks assigned from day to day by the service manager.
