Networking and outreach across other departments, including Account and Creative, is essential to enhance the flow of information between the Medical and Strategy team and the agency at large. The expectation is not that the Associate Strategist has the answer to questions, but that they know where or whom to go to for finding the answers—and will proactively and positively represent the team, enabling seamless support for the good of our brands and clients.

  • Be the center of workshop excellence: collaborate with the Account team on planning and execution. Create checklists and guide to best practices

Department ambassador duties
  • Attend status meetings to flag opportunities for Strategy and Medical involvement
  • Review creative briefs to ensure appropriate Medical and Strategy hours are allocated to the jobs and that collaboration is timely
  • Work with the team to create a monthly report of Medical and Strategy team best practices and successes to share with the broader agency
  • Schedule onboarding sessions for all new employees so they understand how to optimize work with the department
  • Assist in contributing to the agency's social media presence as directed

Research and reconnaissance
  • Monitor news, media, and social platforms for updates on oncology trends in general and our roster of brands specifically so that the Medical/Strategy team can form a POV in a timely manner
  • Review investor calls from our clients and write summaries of relevant information
  • Research potential vendors (for example, data sources, market research vendors, technology vendors) that could be of use during strategic or tactical planning, and arrange for demo presentations
  • Organize, program, and monitor surveys (eg, Sermo or SurveyMonkey) as directed by the Medical or Strategy team to inform department thought leadership
