Coors Distributing Company (CDC) is one of the nation’s leading beer distributors based out of Denver, CO. We are the critical link between our brewery suppliers that produce the beer and the retail outlets where they are sold, as well as the restaurants and bars where they are consumed. We were founded in 1971 and became a MillerCoors LLC in 2008 as part of the joint venture between Miller Brewing Company and Coors Brewing Company, and we remain the only company owned distributor for Molson Coors Beverage Company. Major brand acquisitions occurred in January of 2010 making Coors Distributing Company one of the top 25 largest beer distributors in the country with over 30 suppliers, roughly 14 million cases per year, and nearly 400 employees.

The Headlines:

In the role of Associate Marketing Manager working in Denver, Colorado you will be part of the Marketing team. You will be providing leadership and support as it relates to all aspects of marketing and communications to include marketing and promotional program development, social media and website management, digital marketing tools and support, and internal and external communications to include internal marketing communications, retailer-facing communications, and direct to consumer communications.

This position reports to the Marketing Director.

The Responsibilities:
  • Development & Execution of Marketing & Promotional Programs & Campaigns (40%)
    • Collaborate with Brand Management and Marketing Services team to develop marketing plans and programs that address specific brand and retail objectives across different channels and segments.
    • Work with Marketing Services to create and disseminate effective POS and retail/sales tools to support key programs and initiatives in a timely fashion.
    • Partner with Sales Team to plan and develop customized programs to support key accounts
    • Support Director of Marketing and Brand Management team in the coordination and activation of key sponsorships and brand or company events.
    • Help support the development, customization, and/or coordination of other retail or consumer facing programs and initiatives.
    • Assist with other key marketing communications and presentations.

  • Digital Marketing Strategy & Execution (20%)
    • Partner with Marketing Director to develop and maintain a relevant digital strategy for the company.
    • Maintain website environment and content
      • Ensure all web content is kept fresh and up to date
      • Blogs and seasonal content
      • Contact Us
      • Sponsorship Request Form
      • Donation Request Form
      • Support Pages
        • Contest Pages and Rules
        • Program Landing pages
      • Oversees the development and execution of a response plan for all contact us inquiries and ensures all requests get to the correct departments
    • Partner with the Marketing Director with development and distribution of retail-facing Newsletter and other portfolio communication and support tools.
    • Oversee the development and management of Consumer Promotions to include development of rules, QR codes, and landing pages, as well as winner selection/winner release management, and any other associated support.
    • Oversee marketing efforts through our online customer portal.
    • Oversee the sponsorship & donation request process.

  • Company Social Media Platform Management (20%)
    • Oversee the management of company social media marketing platforms (Facebook and Instagram), and day-to-day activities and communications within agreed upon strategy while following all approval processes and responsible marketing guidelines.
      • Create and maintain guidelines for content
      • Partner with Director of Marketing and HR to develop and manage a response plan for any adverse comments or feedback
      • Monitor/listen/respond to users in a “Social” way while cultivating leads and sales, review and approve all published content.
      • Develop and manage approval process for all external posts, comments, etc. to ensure our social media presence gives a positive representation of our company
      • Develop goals for reach and engagement and conduct regular analysis to ensure strategies drive towards achievement of key goals and metrics.

  • Communications (30%)
    • Responsible for overseeing CDC’s communication plan & executing against our communication strategy.
    • Partners with cross-functional leaders to develop and maintain a clear internal communications strategy and maintain standard communication templates to ensure one consistent theme across the company
    • Management of company communication tools to include but not limited to Four Winds, Constant Contact, and our internal Sharepoint Page
    • Management of Retailer Portal Dashboards and content.

  • Marketing Support Personnel Management (20%)
    • Responsible for managing a marketing support team and defining clear roles and responsibilities that support the achievement of company goals and objectives.
    • Provides direct oversight and leadership to the marketing support programs and strategy for CDC and the marketing department in partnership with Marketing Director, Brand Management and Key Sales Leaders.
    • Responsible for all compulsories associated with managing people to include talent and performance management, development and training, managing schedules and productivity, vacation requests and other HR protocols and processes.

The Other Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Sales or Marketing experience in beer strongly preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in retail marketing, developing consumer promotions or executing retail programs/promotions in liquor stores, grocery store, or the on premise required
  • 2-4 years of digital / social media / communications experience required
  • 1-3 years of experience leading marketing strategy in either social media, digital strategy, retail marketing, or communications preferred.
  • Proven experience developing marketing plans and campaigns
  • Strong project management and decision-making skills
  • Must have experience with Web Development (Wordpress experience preferred)
  • Must have experience with and/or education around social media in the business place (Facebook, Instagram)
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • Ability to maintain confidential information received through course of work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; also requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside customers and vendors
  • Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office and Outlook software; knowledge of content management systems including Drupal
  • Skilled in Adobe Photoshop, Creative Suite, Canva, or other design tools
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a variety of tasks at the same time
  • Should be a self-starter and show an eagerness to learn

Job Posting Salary Range: (Colorado) $64,200 - $92,300
