The Department of Biochemistry has two (2) tenured/tenure track position openings at the Associate/Full professor. These openings are part of the SUNY research hiring initiative, which offers a highly competitive start up and salary.

We seek candidates with:
  • A developed research program in understanding the molecular basis of disease broadly defined.
    • This includes, but is not limited to, expertise in genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, metabolism, developmental biology, neuroscience, regulation of gene expression, and protein structure/function.
  • A strong record of research success as demonstrated by an impactful publication record and extramural funding
  • The ability to maintain an extramurally funded and productive research program, participate in the teaching of undergraduate, graduate, and professional students, and contribute to the various administrative responsibilities of the department.
